It
is a skin disease causing redness, severe itching and scaling of the skin. Scaly
patches on the skin caused by eczema may ooze pus when acutely inflamed. This disease
may be inherited or even may show off due to contact with an allergic substance
such as hair dye. Following are some remedies which can be applied to cure
eczema;
- A very fine powder of the ash of neem bark is dusted over the parts affected by eczema.
- Obtain the oil from the seeds of karanja. Mix it with an equal quantity of lemon juice and apply it over the area affected by eczema.
- The juice of the tender leaves of jangli badam applied over eczema affected parts soothes the skin.
- Application of the paste made of the ash of leaves of the palasa and sesame oil is very effective. Use sesame oil as much as is required to make a paste of palasa leaves.
- The paste made of roasted dhatoora and a little copper sulphate is a useful application for eczema.
- Make a paste of chakund roots/fruits with milk as required. Apply this paste, and you will have quick relief.
- Grind the leaves of amaltas and mix conjee in its paste. Spread the mixture over a piece of cloth. Put this poultice (cloth covering the paste) over the affected part to soothe it.
- The ointment made of the ash of seeds of dry dates, camphor and ghee is useful. Take all the three in equal quantity and mix them to get an ointment.
- The fruit of musk melon is a very efficacious in eczema. One whole fruit is eaten daily.
